Chen Wenjuan needs no introduction when it comes to speaking about Bonsai masters from China. In fact, she is one of the very few in China  ( I read a newspaper report stating there were only 2 lady Bonsai practitioners in China, but am not quite too sure what to make of it ) and one of the most widely respected masters in Bonsai across the world. It was a privilege meeting her, interacting with her and participating in her demonstration workshop  followed  by a very lively discussion.

Chen Wenjuan is currently involved in one of the biggest Bonsai projects ever undertaken in any part of the world in Bonsai – that of putting together Asia’s biggest private garden on bonsai in Jintan city of Changzhou. Further, she is also helping organise the World Bonsai Convention (WBC), at this park in September next year.

Here is what she wrote for lovers of Bonsai in India.

India is a beautiful country. The world never imagined that there will be so many ladies who love Bonsai in India.I really appreciate that I have had this chance to share with Bonsai masters from India. Though time is short, I’ll remember this forever. I believe Bonsai in India will progress rapidly.

Look forward to meeting her at the World Bonsai Convention (WBC) next year.

Thank you Satya for dropping by and for your comment. In India, there are more women Bonsai enthusiasts than men. So you are in good company. Bonsai is indeed an art that gives pleasure and brings peace. I wish you good luck in pursuing this fine art.
